IBUYECO Car Insurance fee's...

my car Insurance is currently with I Buy Eco (a company I regret going with and will be cancelling my insurance as soon as the time is up!)
I just got a letter through saying that the bank couldn't pay for my payment for the car insurance this month. Upon checking my car insurance online, turns out they've taken the money today (12th) PLUS a £25 fee!
So effectively, with the cost of my monthly payments and the fee I've had to pay I would've paid nearly a quarter of my overall insurance!
is this normal???? I have no work at the moment (despite looking) and determined not to claim Jobseekers in fear that it won't give me the incentive to find the job!
