Gully Grating

Hi,
We recently purchased a house and in the survey it was noted that the "yard gully" grating in the shared driveway / garage block was broken. There's now just a hole with an old broken grill and some rubble sitting inside.
This is on our bit of the shared driveway so apparently it is our responsibility to get this fixed. I would like to get it done ASAP because it's a bit dangerous and have nearly tripped on it myself a couple of times. (wouldn't like to be held liable if a neighbour tripped on it either)
From what I understand it doesn't seem to be a normal domestic gully though because it's about 35cm in diameter (it's a round hole). It also looks like there might be a spot where it can be hinged as well, but the cement is a little broken up around the edges.
Just wondering if this is a simple diy job or if it would be better off with a tradesperson. Also wondering where you would normally buy these things, I can't find any this sort of size. Would it be a simple case of plonk it down over the hole or do these normally need some proper fixing?
I should have included a picture but haven't thought to take one!
Thanks
