EDF and Meter readers Part II

Logged on to EDF MyAccount this morning just to check that my DD had been restored back down following a meter reader visit on 24th November (and subsequent bill!!!). To my amazement two new meter readings have appeared for 7th December - I haven't entered them and whilst they appear to be in "the right ball park" I can't remember seeing any meter readers about last Wednesday.
Don't appear to have triggered ANOTHER bill/DD recalculation which is good news:T but where have they come from???Anyone else finding phantom meter readings on their accounts??

    Hi BrewerDave,

Not got anything untoward showing like that.

However, when I rang in on Friday they were apparently holding firm readings for the date of the last bill.

When I asked why the bill correctly showed they were estimated the CSA couldn't explain it and quickly changed tack. They definately haven't read the meters as they are indoors.

It's that random number generator again I suspect. ;)

Yes I had phantom readings entered on My Account in October, 2 months after the start of the contact. I had not entered them and meters are in locked garage so they had not been read by their meter reader.
They did not trigger a bill so I decided to put it down to EDF's weird and wonderful system!

Wonder if my rejection of the large (~30%) DD increase following the meter reads of 2+ weeks ago, has led to some sort of "test read" being injected to match with the restored original DD?? Suppose anything 's possible with EDF's Commodore 64!! Problem with MyAccount is that it doesn't seem to discriminate between Customer(C),meter reader (A) or estimates (E)?? Believe someone was chasing that with EDF in the recent past?
