Petra/Jordan

Hubby and I would love to see Petra and wondered if anyone has been. Is it better to do it as a day trip from Egypt (is this even feasible)or to actually stay in Jordan. Any recommendations or suggestions gratefully received.

I thought exactly the same. I clicked on here expecting to see a pair of t$ts (Peter and Jordan not her breasts).

Do it as a proper trip - I'd recommend at least 2 FULL days at Petra which would be 3 nights from Egypt.

A warning though, there is a LOT of walking to do along with a lot of climbing so you might find yourself panting a bit especially in the summer when it's hot.

Also if travelling from Egypt check how you are going to get to Jordan, if you pass through Israel then you won't be able to go to several countries like Syria, Lebanon & Libya unless you get a new passport
