wheel brace

Hi everyone, I seem to have lost the wheel brace from my car, Zantia :o please could anyone tell me the best place to get another? Is had a little hooky thingy on one end to lower/get the spare wheel :confused:

    Good place to look is local scrap yards, just check yellow pages for car dismantlers, another option is ebay

  • It would not cost much to buy a new one from your local motor factors,although i prefer to use a socket and extention bar.The wheel braces are hard work for a woman if you need to change a wheel yourself,especially if the wheel nuts have been tightened by a garage with an air gun!!

    Dont bother gettign a replacement, Go to your local tesco / asda / halfords they sell extendable braces with a reversable socket these are excellent and only cost around £4, best bit is you stand more chance of getting the nuts off if they were last put on with a compresser gun at a garage due to the extendable handle.

    A adjustable spanner for about £1 will fix your spare wheel problem.
    If it doesnt pay rent sell it.
