  • The Chinese cooking made easy as already suggested is a good cook book if they like to do something a bit different.

    Thai cook books? I got a good one in Debenhams.

    This is a lovely book - it introduces the recipes with a little bit of backstory about where they originate from. I think it's out of print so would have to be a second hand copy, but I love mine!

    I think my ex MIL has that, it looks very familiar.

    Thanks for all the lovely ideas, I'm going to try to get to Foyles this week to have a flick through the suggestions, then in true MSE style will order if from Amazon, The Book People, or the Book Depository :D
