warranty ends tomorrow, faulty again!!

i have a condensor tumble dryer bought from Comet 5 years ago with an extended warranty. it was a gify from my parents so i wasnt aware the warranty was for 5 years until i got a letter saying it ends 12th december.
the dryer hadnt been drying properly, took ages to dry a couple of items, stuff not getting hot enough. rang them, sent an engineer out who replaced the condensor unit. thought it was ok, he checked it. he said it worked ok, i havent used it.OH was drying the washing.
now i dont know if he just thought it was ok but it's doing the same thing again.
question is, am i entitled to to ask for another repair tomorrow as it ends tomorrow? i dont think it was fixed properly the first time if i'm honest but trusted OHs opinion, should have checked myself really.it is a repair or replace if it costs too much to repair policy

I would think that will be OK - report it tomorrow, don't mention it's the last day of the warranty, and arrange engineer as normal.

i was buzzing when i realised it was under warranty because we had been looking at buying a new one so i was happy to save money and get it repaired, it still looks like new after 5 yrs. maybe they will give me a new one....:j:j

    Unlikely i'm afraid.

If theire unable to repair it, they will likely offer a partial-refund, which I can't imagine being much after 5 years tbh.

when i rang to report the fault i asked and the guy said if its not cost effective to repair they will replace it because the warranty was taken out for the whole 5 years when it was bought.
i have a warranty with my washing machine like that where they offer you money but less as it gets older, renewed it after the 2 ye warranty ran out. i think because it was extended at purchase its different, hope so.

ANYONE GOT THE NUMBER FOR COMET WARRANTY CLAIMS?? CANT FIND IT I'VE TIDIED IT AWAY SO WELL.
