Finding a flatshare

I'm trying to find a flatshare starting in June next year. I suppose my first question is am I looking too early? Most around that time seem to be starting 1 July and require you to be a student due to council tax rules.

I'm under 21 and ideally want to be living with people my age. Other than spareroom, are there any sites I should be looking on?

Yes, a bit too early! No one is going to be advertising a room now that wot be available Until june!I'd start looking about a month before you want to move in, however saying that there's no harm keeping an eye out just now so you know what to expect in regards to prices, areas etc.

Try gumtree as well as spareroom
  • I agree and I did think it was a bit too early. I'm currently living in Spain so I was hoping to find a few places now and arrange viewings then I can book flights to fit around. Definitely a long shot though.

    Thanks for your help

    You could also try easyroommate.
Please when you post an advert " give some details"
Ie area you want to live, rent you want to pay, who you want to live with, if working then consider council tax,
Do your research If you want to live in london it will cost a fortune ! do you want to live in a student area ? with nearly one million young people unemployed in this country you may find it hard to get a job

I, too, reckon you're a wee bit too early.

It's a good idea to check out what kind of things are out there though and you may find something perfect crops up.

I'd recommend posting an advert on Gumtree with the info on dates/budgets etc and you may come across someone similar who's looking for the same.

    Good luck!
