Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Hi,

Was wondering if anyone could help here.

i am trying to find a carhire (7 seater plus luggage) people carrier for israel ideally i would want fully comp and no excess plus one additional driver - i have done some searching on the website with the search engines was wondering if anyone could recommend slashing costs further - it will be a 10 day rental in the next week or so ( not for collection at airport ideally somewhere in town)

I was thinking about holiday autos as a broker but am a bit concerned due to the reviews i saw on watchdog carhire, can any one more experienced in this area plz advise if they are reliable or if they know anyone who is

regards

Silver

Holiday Autos are usually fine, sometimes cheaper than booking direct, sometimes not. I often use www.carrentals.co.uk to give me an idea of what I should be paying and work from there. Holiday Watchdog website seems completely out of date, nothing in the last 2 years at least and as for Europcar, I rent from them every month and have never had a problem with them at all, next collection at 0930 on Wednesday this week but Israel won't be cheap for a last minute booking that includes Christmas!
  • thnx really appreciate the response

Carentals.co.uk was my first pit stop ;)

thats where i got the holiday autos quote from - i found another website which also had reviews for holiday autos which gave me some more worries, this was the other website with reviews
    ww.reviewcentre.com/products695

Because of those reviews was thinking of just going with RentalCars.com - ww.rentalcars.com - i think they were previous known as carhire1000 or carhire3000

im guessing you can rely on them - only downside is that it will cost another ££'s at least

    Regards

ps (left out some of the urls as it wouldnt aloow me to post sry

Holiday Autos are fine. Bad reviews will mostly be from people who ended up paying extra as they didn't insist on refusal all optional insurance extras at the desk.

The price is fully inclusive and it isn't necessary to pay anything extra. Make sure that no matter how tired you are from travelling you refuse everything and if they won't let you take the car without it ask for a signed letter saying the charges are manadatory.

Try going via this link to see if it gives you a cheaper price. It normally works.

  • yes thats a grt link ty

i basically going for full comp dont want any surprising costs

so in terms of reliability who would you say is more reliable holiday autos or -rentalcars.com ?

    regards
