This is just a general question for any customers of British Gas, please do not take offense just answer yes or no.

Being a customer of British Gas would you regard yourself as stupid?

yes or no required.

Why would you? Their prices are competitive.
Many people who are a bit backward and have therefore not caught up yet, still think that BG is a nationalised industry at that the "gas board" and "the gas man " still exist and that they do lots of stuff for free just like the old days
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

It is actually you that is stupid, because that is not what I said in this thread here

Other readers can judge for themselves.

You were talking about getting a boiler fitted by BG. Everybody (except perhaps you) knows that BG are the most expensive for central heating installations and replacement boilers with expensive power flushes etc. etc.

Thanks for your replies I appreciate what you have done. as for my mechanic hes a mate so theres not going to be insults etc.

At the end of the day im on 'moneysaving' expert.

I understand businesses losing money, but as the guy above said regarding a boiler, Its crap, British gas quotes me £6000 to replace a boiler, yet my mate who is Corgi, well the gas safe one now, can do the same job for like £1600

Im here to save a little bit of cash thats all, I take my business to mates and give them my money not the big sharks in the sea. Maybe espresso is one of those big companies. Well at the end of the day I need to look after me, my wife and my home.

Cheers for your help mate I will feed the info tomorrow.

As you keep saying this is a money saving site and real money savers don't get BG to fit central heating systems or replacement boilers.

Grow up and stop playing silly games. You are making and even bigger fool of yourself now!

Thanks for pointing that out, however, there is no suggestion from me that I am implying that BG customers are 'stupid'

Well soft lad made the ridiculous comparison of using BG or his mate to fit a boiler supplied by himself to save some money. It was used as an example regarding supplying parts yourself and robbing the fitter of his profit margin as per the other motoring thread linked to above.

Some people will just not accept when they are wrong. The higher the value of the item that you supply yourself to be fitted, the bigger the loss to the fitter, so they will simply inflate their labour charge to compensate for the loss of profit if they do not supply the part.
