If you use PayPal, create a separate email account that you use for that and absolutely nothing else. That way, any other 'PayPal' email you receive elsewhere will obviously be bogus.

that explains alot...

I used to sell alot of items on ebay, people pay via paypal, i'd create the order using the details provided in the payment notification. Email notifications would be sent to this email address, suchas order confirmation & dispatch notification. However, a significant number of people would email querying delivery & the many orders that required interaction before dispatch would not be responded to -- because they don't use the email address their paypal account is registered to & when they do email querying an order it would be from a different email address which made it quite difficult to locate their order if they didn't include any other information (which was common).
