Free Website hosting - Ad-Free??

Well,
despite 2 good years of service, it is time to move away from MS Small Business hosting. It has been reliable and great but they are now shutting it down and moving everyone to office 365 which they want to charge for...

I will need to move my domain name and website content, but not to worried about that as it is an excuse to revamp :) its my toy site so can not justify paying for hosting.

Can anyone recomend a decent, free host, with POP3 email fwding?

Thanks in advance

In my experience there is no such thing as good ad-free web hosting. Hardly surprising really as there is no money to be made!

How much space and bandwidth are you using? You can get decent small hosting packages for under £20/year!
If you do decide to go down the paid route be wary of the providers offering unlimited space or bandwidth as there is no such thing ;)

I agree.... I use TSOHosts and get a decent enough hosting package for £15 a year, I think most people shouldn't / wouldn't baulk at paying £1.25 a month surely!?

In fact I think using "TENPERCENT" on the checkout gets you 10% off so even better

  • the MS offering was pretty good - Has anyone tried the Amazon/Google free sites?
