2 yo hoover dishwasher packed up :(

hi all
first time posting on this so be nice please
ive got a hoover dishwasher its about 2 years old and this morning i put the breakfast things in and switched it on and it ran fine but didnt pump the water back out and flooded the kitchen so im guessing the drain pump has had it.
the question is is it worth fixing or just sack it off and get one in the sales?
our last dishwasher was 10 years old when it packed up 2 years ago that was the pump then we looked at getting it fixed but the repair guy said it would be £50 to look at it and if the pump has gone because of the model/age it would be £100+ fpr the part & £80 to fit it so it would be cheaper to get a new one. this is what we did.
so people is there any engerneers out there that could give me some pointers?
how hard is it to replace a pump?
are the pumps expensive & where can i get one from?
im very handy with a spanner (very good diy mechanic can strip and rebuild a engine)
thanks all

It could just be a simple blockage.
Do you still have the manual - it should show you where to check for blockages. If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!0 -
I would recommend Espares for parts. They sometimes have videos on how to do the repair yourself. Pop your model number in, and see what it brings up.

dunno about the receipt the missis stores/hides them.
ive had the drain inside the machine out and cleaned them and got the bits of food ect out of the sump.
the manual is about as helpfull as my 3yo just tells you to remove the filters and the pump and clean but dont tell me where the pump is or how to get to it
ill have a look at espares
thank you0
