Self install solar panels

Hi all, I have had a wee look around the net for any self install solar kits that i could use at home, i was an electrician 10 yrs ago but well out of card now and dont really have any intention of taking it up again, however i was thinking about self installing to get money back(ie not a hot water system), I would obviously have to get a qualified spark to sign it off..... The rear of my home faces south and i am quite handy when it comes to these types of things, can anyone offer me some advice or any links on where i could buy a package/costs?? thanks

As far as I know you could buy the kit and install but you won't get the Feed in Tariff. As that is the main element of the return for 25 years it makes in pointless doing it yourself.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0
