do you need to buy a book - or do the cashiers generally just accept the vouchers without question?

depends where you shop - lots of post about it but generally tesco's are the safest followed by asda and i wouldn't even try in sainsbury's.
Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.

I popped to the paper shop on the way to Tesco's to buy a mail and I used my £4 coupon to buy 6 more daily mails. I paid 20p in cash
There is a forgotten, nay almost forbidden word which means more to me than any other. That word is England.

  • I've just returned from Tescos and a lovely stroll in the gorgeous Welsh sunshine. Shame the builders aren't here but it is far too hot for them today LOL.

I got my Mails and whilst wandering around with my 4 mini Welshy's managed to tear the Express voucher out of the paper (after checking with a member of staff).

I did 2 transactions first one I was going to use the voucher as money off but it did not work

2nd transaction I used the voucher, it did not scan so the SA checked the receipt and input the price at £1.29 off my bill - I got the strawberry flavour 4 pack of yoghurts.

On the Mirror audio CD, it's a children's read-along book and audio CD. You have to pick up from Somerfield though. They're going to be giving them away all week. Seems like a great thing for kids learning to read.

The free Alpro yogurt can be picked up until Feb 10. You can technically only pick from strawberry/peach/raspberry.
  • Hiya alchemista  hope the sun is shining where you are too ?

Anyway, I picked up the Mirror today and after travelling to tescos with the sounds of that record "what's that coming over the hill ....... is it a monster" I was hoping that the Mirror would contain the story cd so we could listen to that on the way home. Unfortunately, it is a store collect at Somerfield and our local one has been changed into a Netto. Will have to read the paper later to see if it can be sent off too
