Just a quick sig update, £100 into savings, £35 into investments.

Am not going to count this just yet as I have car MOT etc this month...but with batch cooking/freezing and scouring our local Asda for bargains I have managed to shave off £100 off our monthly supermarket bills!!

After taking part in this challenge last year and having a good hard look at my finances I genuinely didnt think I could save anywhere else in my budget so this has been a very pleasant surprise. OH commented the other day, we dont really spend money on food anymore, do we? Just shows what we've been wasting!

the bulk of my shopping is now lidls was in asda and i grudge some of the prices made the mistake of taking the kids :eek:expensive shop after being so good . ive bought a second freezer so i can store oh other glutenfree bread which has saved me £4 a week alone .also getting good with kids packed lunches
So finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x

  • I stopped smoking 7 weeks ago, would that count as £7.40 a day?:T
    Barclaycard=£4200/ Next=£0.00/Lloyds overdraft= £1000/Santander overdraft= £550
    TOTAL DEBT = £13750:eek:as of November 2012
TOTAL DEBT = £11620 as of March 2013
TOTAL DEBT = £5750 as of January 2016:T
  • Morning all updated my signature down, I added something in twice when I was doing my initial figures. Still feeling really positive and happy, it was so nice seeing the overtime money go in and the overdraft getting smaller!

I've made my to-do list for today and I am working now on the marketing side of all the businesses, and a digital promotional idea that will help with extra revenue. The other good thing has been keep a spending diary - I seem to experience more even though I am spending a lot less.

Also, the other thing is that I been doing a personal development course and I realised I have some self sabotaging beliefs about work and money so working through that seems to have helped me immensely. Feel very happy, content and organised at the moment. Have an estimated £500 in payments for March - and fingers crossed the role in Head Office will start soon. 2012 is an exciting year indeed!

Evening all, hope you are well. I must admit I have been MIA for a couple of weeks, but have still been slowly ticking along - now need to get back on the money making wagon! Still ahead of target which I am happy about but I know I wll have other "down times" so I need to stay ahead (plus LOVE seeing the ISA finally build up :D)

Anyway challenge clear out - been doing and sorting out garden so will add a (mental!) tick to that! Challenge tip would be shopping based as well Buy your fruit at Aldi - strawberries £1.29, mangoes 89p, blueberries 89p AMAZING - then I have a veg box (to cancel out the airmiles!) which saves me money too.

Otherwise, am planning to do some bingo bongo tomorrow (and some more catching up :o) GL money making all!

well we are almost a third of the way in ,time to tidy up our money .
plan do you have change lying about? collect it up pay it to a debt or add it to savings account . cc with balance transfer offers use them and add the interest saved. kiddies banks get it rbagged and add to your kids savings accounts .think you have the idea mines are as follows.
cash in vodka bottle, count up kids change phone santander and see if i have bt offer and use it .£8.12 credit in a freemans account that when i checked credit they had moved it however they put it back.money in betfair its not my thing going to claim it back .
make your money work for you not the bank.
So finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x

    Debt-free and Proud!
a quick update from me. I have decide to quit my job in the summer and go back to sessional teaching which I love. Will be a lot less money and totally unreliable but hey I need to do what's right for me. We will still be on target to pay of debts to CCCS in 2014 so although I would like to pay off debts sooner I have to go back whilst the opportunities are still there for me.

So I am ebaying like mad now because I need to have several months wages as a back up until the work trickles in. Roll on car boot season so I can do some more wheeling and dealing!

Well done Dilli and elle, hope everyone else is ok to.
Skint are you ok can you inbox me hun?? xx
