Hi My sons x box acount was hacked and they were able to use my card detials that were storred on the sistem to buy stuff, this happened 2 months ago and it was the banks fraud team that contacted me to let me know, they stole nearly £200 from me. The bank payed it all back into my acount and I thought that was the end of it, but yesterday I got a letter from them saying they don't think it was fraud and I have to write and say why it is fraud. So I wrote saying it was as my son didn't make the payments and that Microsoft have admitted the account was hacked. if they still don't agree they are going to take the money back out my acount. Can ayone help? Thanks

You need to go through the banks complaints procedure, using Microsoft's admission that the account was hacked as evidence. I assume you have that in writing from MS. If they fail to refund and reject your complaint then the Financial Ombudsman is your next step.0

Provide them with a copy of Microsoft's confirmation.

I'd also remind them that it was their fraud team that informed you of the transaction.0

Put everything in writing and make sure that the contents of the letter is spelt correctly.Estate Agent, Web Designer & All Round Geek!0
