Gluten Free help please

  • Thank you everyone, some very useful information. There is also another child with suspected nut allergy so unfortunately I will have to stay away from recipes with nuts, it's very complicated isn't it!

    I had forgotten about pom bear crisps, they always go down well.

    Just need to make my shopping list now :)
  • Someone said it would be OK to have jelly and ice cream for sweets. You need to check the info on the ice cream carton as some ice creams have gluten in them. Why oh why don't they thicken food with cornflour, rice flour or potato flour instead of wheat flour, then coeliacs would have access to a lot more food and it wouldn't cause non-coeliacs any problem. Good luck with the party.

    forgot about the checking the ice cream.....i kinda do it instinctively when shopping so forgot to remind other people!
