has anyone seen their own basmati rice, 1kg, for 90p or 2 for £1.00.not tried it out yet, though

Yes, I got this last week. Fab flavour and is lovely with curry, makes a nice change to the American easy cook that I usually get.

I decided last weekend to get 4 of the nescafe skinny lattes while they were on offer but the offer had finished :(

I love these deals though, am fast becoming an asda fan. I got the basmati rice but havent tried it yet.

Don't you think that perhaps the "Big 4" are using these silly price loss leaders to try and wean us back off Aldi and Lidl?
    No chance!

  • Today I popped into Morrisons as it's near the Royal Mail depot and I had to collect a parcel - now this is crazy :

They had some large mangoes reduced from £1.29 to 99p as they had a display until date of today. So, picked one up. Then I went to the fruit section and noticed that large mangoes were on BOGOF so thought - bargain, go get another 99p reduced one for free. Got to the till and they both went through as 99p each i.e. £1.98. I queried this with supervisor and she said because they are reduced they are not BOGOF. What ?????? So I can have 2 large mangoes for £1.29 which have a longer use by date, or buy 2 that are out of date tomorrow for £1.98????   I asked to swap them for new BOGOF ones and to save the hassle she just gave me 99p back. madness :rotfl:

Asda today had Douwe Egberts "Le Cafe" filter coffee £1.98 per pack or 2 packs for £2!

I'll bet there are still some people who only buy the one pack instead of paying an extra 2p for two packs!

  • Tesco did this recently with the petit filous yoghurts, 88p each or 2 for £2, then 2 days later the price was £1.29 each or 2 for £2, so rather than take the offer off they had simply put the price up.
Real men never follow instructions; after all they are just the manufacturer's opinion on how to put something together. :p

It's better than the 33p bottles of pop or if you're unlucky to pick three its '3 for £1'!

I work in B&M bargains and pointed out one these type of offers to my boss the other night.... small tubs of pringles gourmet flavours.. 19p each or 5 for £1 ???

I couldnt believe the sign had been up for weeks and no-one had noticed it! But more astonished head office actually made and sent us the POS (price tag) to put up! Someone in HO obviously cant add up!
