Work problems making partner ill

  • I would keep a diary of the incidents while discreetly looking for another job, it's a difficult market but a decade of experience is an asset. Obviously the manager is in the wrong but unlikely to admit it. Is there a HR department or higher up manager your partner could speak to?
  • I agree that he should be keeping a diary about it all and everything that happens. As this is a nationwide company, perhaps he can ask to be transferred to somewhere else?

He will sooner or later have to talk to his employer about this. First with the Manager himself and if that doesn't work, then he needs to go further.
Make sure he puts in this diary about seeing the manager and the response etc.

If he is that good at his job then he should probably leave.
Even if he finds work which is LESS than he is on at the moment, it will still be better in the long run for his health and for your family.
Being in a dark place will effect everyone around him - even though he wont intend to.

This must be really hard for him.
Good luck and chin up :)

A question for the people who advised the OP to keep a diary - if the OP follows this "advice" what are they to do with this diary ?

Please read SarEl's reply, this in my opinion is the best advice.
