No choille, but see why the world food at Ullapool is so appealing in contrast to that.

Have you chosen a chicken yet? Its a shame I can't send you my spare cockeral

Our good friend here raised a second clutch of Australorps, and the only two that made it are boys. They're strutting around in their small pen, being good as gold, but that can't last forever. I'm thinking, "Maybe, just maybe!" ;)

Bit of a shame though, to use rare breeds for Christmas dinners. :o

Perhaps I'll just go to the Farmers' Market in Crediton on Sunday! :)

I steam mine usually. Quite nice sauteed with bacon and pine nuts too. - Hardly traditional now is it? Sounds a bit like that chap Blewminheck - him wot is on the telly - all liver flavoured ice cream & using a bunson burner on his puddings!

LIR - my little cockerels aren't just quite ready, but we have a couple in the freezer when we did a load a few weeks back. The Orpingtons are huge - does us 4 days.

but how we have them at christmas...with chestnuts is, surely? :)

dh had olive oil flavoured icecream once. he didn't look like he enjoyed it that much, though he said he did.

Heston has copied me this year...I did that black forest thing he's flogging last christmas, but in a trad log shape, not like a giant choc ice.

Did he have a medical condition that required it?

Incurable gluttonous curiosity (sometimes known as gourmandism)....the olive oil icecream didn;t even temper it a little.
