Where should I sell my laptop?

It should be able to sell for around £350
Should I sell it on eBay, Amazon or Play FairTrade? Who will charge less for selling fees?

You might think its worth £350 but will the buyers think the same?
Less fees is one thing but how many potential buyers will get to see it is also worth thinking
about.
If your new and selling an expensive item buyers will be wary also so may offer less.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Sell it on the place with the highest number of users.
BTW, laptop prices have taken a serious nose dive since September. I'm now seeing Core 2 Duo laptops selling for little over the £100 mark.0 -
Ah, well an older version of mine (in the same condition) sold for £300 with lower specs. I just put £350 to give an idea of the £3-400 price range
eBay will charge me about £40 if it sells for £350 I think, any idea how much Amazon/Play would charge for something that sells in the £3-400 price range? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

If you sell on ebay remember to factor in the paypal fees as well.
If you sell for £350 on Amazon then your net proceeds after fees including postage credit would be £314.29 out of which you need to pay for full secure tracked and insured delivery.
To sell on Amazon you need to register a credit card- and also bear in mind that buyers have a full right to a return for any reason.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Okay, thanks. I've only sold 2 games on Amazon I think, whereas on eBay I have +70 feedback 100% positive so would it be better to sell on my eBay?
Also, do you have any advice for selling my laptop?
I mean it works perfectly, and there's no issue with it (I would never sell something I knew was broken) - but I'm just worried they might get it and say they never did get it, or what if it breaks a month or two later? I know it wouldn't be my fault but I would still feel badThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Personally, with something like a laptop I'd sell it on your local Gumtree. Buyer can see it working & you can get cash in your hand......;)What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about !!!0

Wherever you sell it you will need to ensure it gets safely to the buyer- and be able to prove it. So you will need full tracking and insurance, this thread will be helpful:

If you do use ebay then make sure you fully understand how to protect yoruself. You need to stick to UK only and have your selelr preferences as tight as possible- see here:

I'm not sure where will be best to sell this- it all depends on what sites you are happiest with really. What I've found selling things on ebay, is that it can be a massive pain to do so. I've had non-paying bidders etc. If you're willing to take a hit on the amount of money you'll get, I've found Cash converters/ Cash generator and CEX not a bad option. But its always wise to look around where you can get the best price for your goods.0
