Good evening everyone,
This is my first post on here, so i am sorry if this subject has been discussed already. I have looked through the forum but cannot find anything recent relating to this, although i am surprised.
I have just finished buying some Christmas presents from play.com and at the end of the order, i received this message: Congratulations... here's your Special Reward to thank you for being a valued Play.com customer!
They are offering a £15 cashback reward on my next purchase if i hand over my credit card details but am wary of these things. The company in question seems to be independent from play.com and requires a £10 a month fee for savings etc. They say i can cancel at any time but am worried they will hold onto my details. The company is called complete savings.
Since they offer free postage, i think my partner is interested in using Play.com for some other gifts, so the £15 would come in handy. Like many people, we have had a tough few years but this will be out first Christmas with any presents at all for three years.
If anyone has any knowledge of this company, i would greatly appreciate your input and advice! Many thanks, Dazy

Thank you, Browntoa.
I searched 'complete savings scam' into google and a lot of people seem to have had negative experiences, including money being taken from their accounts. Your comment and what i have discovered is enough to stop me in my tracks.
Thank you for the link. I'll look into that!0 -
when I used them in December every thing was alright. I cancelled before the first £10 was due. The £15 welcome cheque cleared properly. Argos on the net do the same deal. Banks like Lloydstsb scam me £1 for every non sterling transaction, and make about 2-3% on the rates, but that is alright! NOT0

As you can see, they have also selectec Argos to sell this service. I was suspicious when I saw the part asking for Debi/Credit card info0

My husband used Shopper rewards after booking rail tickets, he got his £15 cheque and cancelled, it's like all of these things, you have to do it right to make sure you don't get charged the monthly fees otherwise it can work out very expensive x"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138
