Hello
After some opinions!
Is glitter eyeliner tacky or festive?!
If anyone has used any, what one is good?
Thanks

At any other time of the year, i'd say tacky..but its CHRISTMAS!!!! So therefore its most definitely festive.

I think it can be ok all year round I quite often wear it if going out clubbing but I love a bit of sparkle on my eyes.
They key is to not overdo it, personally I think a subtle line of it can look pretty not just at Christmas

MAC do a lovely black kohl that has just the right level of glitter in it!0

Pretty sure Barry M do glittery eye pencils.
And last Christmas (I gave you my heart......!) I had some spectacular false eyelashes which had a row of tiny, multicoloured diamantes on the lashline, they looked fab!!!0 -
OOh!! I discovered this amazing makeup range only recently - I love some of the clever effects and it's all non-animal tested. http://www.illamasqua.com/0

I was going to say its anything goes at Christmas and to wear it with pride! But actually, I would say its fine any time in the year, its how you wear it that makes the difference.
I'd say for a more chic look, apply only in one area rather then all over. Eg just at the corners or maybe just below the lower lash line or maybe just alone the outter flick of the eyeline and for a really strong look apply a few times to get a really strong bold glittery line. Remember to underplay everything else to give the glitter a chance to stand out. (eg pale lips, flawless plain skin with a little highlighter rather then any blush/cheek tint).
Or go to Mac and ask them for a makeover with glitter liner or dust, they'll be able to give some amazing tips I'd bet and suit it to your features.0 -
I think it can be tacky and/or fab depending on where you are and how much glitter. I think a subtle glitter looks gorgeous, but loads of chunky glitter looks odd.
I've got some MAC pigment I use as liner (Family Crest) and a couple of glitter liners from Barry M.0 -
The other company to look at if you're not afraid of colour is Urban Decay. Their colours are AMAAAZING!!!0
