Finding a shipping company to import goods

Hi,

I'm trying to find a shipping company in Switzerland that I can use to import goods into the UK. Does anyone have any recomendations?

I am aware that there will be duty and tax charged on this but are there any other costs to look out for?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • If you are talking about moving the actual freight then just look in your yellow pages under Freight Forwarding. If you have all the details of your cargo, (weight ,volume, where from and to etc), then you should be able to find a couple of firms who will quote you.
Be wary though, because Switzerland is quite a specialised market and some firms pretend to have a service, but actually just piggy back with a larger company.
Try Abx 01268 723000 (Basildon), and they should be able to give you the number of their nearest depot.
    Hope this helps
