Gas Cylinder Change over HELP URGENT

We have a boiler using 4 47kg bottles on a change over thing. Now on the gas fitters instructions it says that we need to shut off the 2 empty cylinders and remove before switching to the other 2.
Do I switch the switch to the other 2 now and leave the 2 empty ones?

Now my darling mother has also spent £20 of the money I put aside for 2 bottles and we only have £100 so unless I allow her to borrow off me again she cannot buy any new bottles until 22nd Dec.
Is it safe to leave the 2 empties connected until then?

i thought the manifold changed over automatically?
I thought so too, I don't think they are quite empty though as it is still heating the hot water?
It does say the red light is a warning light so I assume a warning light that they are nearly dead?0 -
what make is the manifold?
i cant tell from the photo.
didnt the installers leave you any manuals etc...? its the law.Get some gorm.0 -

it should change over automatically.
and they have non return valves fitted, so you can disconnect the pigtails from the cylinders whenever you like.
if you so wish.Get some gorm.0 -
The arrow is pointing to the empty cylinders.
It has changed over automatically to the left hand pair.
The red bit underneath indicates they are empty.
When the delivery man comes he will turn the arrow to point to the left hand ones, the red bit will change colour, green or white...
Then he will change the right hand pair of bottles without interupting your gas supply.
Its not a good idea to disconnect the empty bottles until the new ones are there to be fitted, just in case something isnt sealing quite right and would be leaking out of the flexi pipes.0 -
Thank You.
Will leave them connected. Do they have to be changed straight away? x
Its probably not a good idea to let the left hand bank run out as well, or you may need to get your gas supply purged.
If you know when the right hand bank ran out and have a rough idea how long 2 full cylinders will last then you can make sure you dont run out completely.0 -

The arrow hasn't moved since it was fitted?
It has only been in the last 24 hours it has turned red, the left hand bottles were put in use Oct but only for hot water and occasional heating until Nov and only been on daily for last 3-4 weeks so they have lasted about 10 weeks so I assume about 4 weeks when on daily for heating.0 -

The arrow diesn't move until someone moves it.
Looking at the cylinders the arrow is pointing at the right hand bank of two.
Those are the cylinders that have been in use.
They are now empty, and it has automatically changed over to the left hand bank of two.
The window has gone red to indicate this and to make you aware so you re-order some gas, and the arrow is now pointing to the empty cylinders
When the man comes to change the cylinders he will move the arrow around to point to the left hand bank of two and the window will change from red to another colour.
This will indicate you are using the left hand bank of two, and when they are empty the window will turn red and change over to the left hand bank of two as long as you get them changed.0
