Classy place to stay in Florence?

Hi,
Thanks to all of those who responded to my last question on what there is to see and do in Pisa. However, as a result of the reviews, I am having an urgent re-think!! We are leaving Pisa likes rats from a sinking ship and are opting for Florence instead. Does anyone have any suggestions for accomodation for 15 lovely ladies from 17-20 March. Any suggestions gratefully received. Hotels/b&bs/apartments/villas.
