I've been reliably informed that I do need to go to the shops and purchase a tree today. So I guess there is still something you CAN'T buy on the internet.
I've just been informed that as well, I hate getting dressed on Sundays. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
having spoken to my contact in retial, big shops are NOT heated: the heat is lights, stuff plugs in and people. But that's not so bad IMO as the heat in little shops, because bg shops that you are in for haf an hour plus its not so terrible taking a coat off.0

Errr....where I get mine, it's best not to arrive looking dressed-up, or in a clean car. However, if you bring a chain saw, you can DIY the whole thing in ten minutes flat.*

are they sure ?
All those will make it more difficult to keep an even temperature, but stores do heat their shops. The perfect example of how they like to keep them warm is that they will leave the doors open, but have an air curtain to reduce heat loss.
Why ? Well for most people, you do get a nice feeling walking from the cold into a nice warm room (or shop) and this will put you in a better mood to spend.
Conversely shops in the USA are air conned to the max in summer, as its great to get away from the heat.US housing: it's not a bubble - Moneyweek Dec 12, 20050 -

Ah, but not having paid £350 for your Christmas tree, you are well able to afford decent shoes.
I guess it's a matter of priorities. Chavs will always skip the essentials to spend conspicuously on bling.
A case of chav and chav-not, if ever I saw one!
Wheras one gets to pick one's christmas tree annually from the estate!:D0 -
Awwwwww, come on now .... £350 for a Tree to use all year is well within the spirit of the MSE ethos!!Bringing Happiness where there is Gloom!0
