How to "thank you" to agency that got me a job and excellent opportunity

Box of chocs sounds like a great idea, I would also write a recommendation for their linkedin account as well.0

thanks everyone! I'm going to write a thank you letter and get something they can all share at work. Cheers0

the agency should be thanking YOU, for earning them a fat wedge commission (both while temping, and no doubt the added signoff to permanent..)Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0 -
I once sent an agency a box of chocs and a card when they got me a job I really wanted. I'd kind of got to know the consultants there really well, and I was so made up to get the job I wanted to do something to say thanks. I thought they could all share the chocs between them, so they'd all get to benefit. I'd recommend that if you want to thank them.0

When I worked in recruitment I got many gifts from candidates I'd placed - chocolates, wine, bottle of malt whisky (yeeuuch!) but what meant the most was the thank you cards. I've kept them all.
This was a long time ago and I think the LinkedIn recommendation would probably be really appreciated.
Congratulations on getting the job. A recruitment consultant can only open the door - you've made your way through it.0 -
I'd just like to add my congratulations. Sometimes we just need to have our potential realised and be given a chance. Which is how I landed my present job. After re-training I hit against the no experience tag - luckily where I work now I was given a chance as they liked me and thought I was keen and would fit in, personality wise. Good luck and it certainly does no harm to thank thoses for getting you that break.Back on the trains again!0
