Just, for example when I was in school and shows like Torchwood, in which Barrowman publickly argue with the BBC to add more sex and smut etc, aswell as Alan Carr, Gok Wan, then alot of Soap Gays being in your face too....it really doesn't help coming out or teenagers reactions, really sorry anyway, shouldnt have said anything
You might actually find that a lot of straight people agree with your stance on 'overtly camp' gays, especially on TV and in the public eye. JMHO

Great profile, very funny and refreshingly brutally honest. :T
One question, though... Tea Rooms?
If it's best we don't know, don't answer.
Yes I wondered about that one too!!
And there was another bit I had a chuckle at....won't say what it was but nothing like blowing your own trumpet eh?;)My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -
As long as I'm invited
Oh and it's Ms or Miss - the Mrs title is only until I get rid of the ex by law.
Don't apologise. Nothing was offensive at all. I'm just saying that I've not come across many gay folk but the likes of Alan Carr and John Barrowman are, to me, the kind of camp eejits that as you say, will makes confused teens even more confused. The public face of the gay man on the Beeb is quite embarassing. Oh and don't forget Dale Winton who does the lottery now. So what do the BBC have against gay men?
Sheltered life comment #2 for the evening: I thought the white gay guy in Eastenders wasn't bad looking and I never twigged he played a gay character until much later. I was even more shocked to find he's gay in real life as well as he's the polar opposite of what is normally portrayed as gay on mainstream TV.
Sheltered life comment #3 for the evening: errrrr I'll need that explained to me. The closest I got to Gavin & Stacey was my ex-husbands first ex-wife saying his parents were like the parents in G&S. They live in Essex but I don't know if that was the reason why.
I won't comment on Christian because I shall respect other peoples irrtating campness for the rest of the night :rotfl:0 -
