Fudge2 - sorry to see your dad is still poorly What sort of ulcer does he have? Mother-in-law has had leg ulcers for years, has to have them rebandaged regularly. Speaking of which I found out today she has renal and kidney failure. Im a bit disappointed really as the hospital havent been giving us any real information at all! Father-in-law thought she was coming home tomorrow! Im going to visit early tomorrow to speak to the Dr and try and find out whats really going on. She only went in to hospital after a fall over a month ago and is deteriorating quite dramatically!

((hugs)) I know exactly how you feel - before my Mam went into hospital last year, she could get herself up, dress herself, come downstairs on stairlift, make herself a cup of tea, potter around, etc and after 3 weeks in hospital after being sick, she was doubly incontinent, completely bedridden and on soft food/tumbler drinks only ........ plus her alzheimers was 10 times worse They do deteriorate in hospital - I would hate to be an elderly patient without family to take care of me in there :mad: :mad:

Got some little steps stuff from T's earlier, photos to come, Sw1nd0n peeps - there are plenty of play along musical balls 6m+ in the first toy aisle for £2.50 and a driver thing for £1.50 although there is a slight dirt stain on the label on the wheel and the box is battered to death. I didn't buy it as all my little steps finds went to a charity appeal and I'd feel really tight if a child got that battered thing as their only present

:T:T:TWell done kadison...I got my 2 and a half stone last Thursday but after a weekend drinking and stuffing my face, not feeling too confident this week....but it is Christmas so why not enjoy ourselves

I havent read all the posts yet this evening but before I forget wanted to ask if you know about 'port alert' system, I had this when I thought my kids would be taken abroad by their dad.....not sure if it applies to ferries from NI to Scotland though....worth checking out.

You can also ask for passport office not to issue a passport without your consent (again its been a while so I am unsure of rules)

My case was international child abduction but perhaps same rules/safeguards apply for you?
