What's the chances of him dragging you back to court again just to be a !!!! or to keep trying to get his own way? :(

Slim I hope. We agreed overnight access to be phased in after the youngest turns 1. Judge happy. Agreed 2 long weekends a year at Easter & Halloween. Judge agreed. Ex wanted to take our 2 kids plus his kid from 1st marriage on flight across to England in July. I wasn't happy at him managing 3 kids so suggested 2 options:

    1. Wait until Halloween when DS1 will be *hopefully* easier to manage at 3 and DS2 will be more settled at being separated from me, then take all 3
    2. Leave his other kid at home and just take the boys in July

He pretty much stomped his feet as he wanted option 3 (his only option) which was to take all 3 kids in July. Judge didn't even ask why I wouldn't agree to a long weekend in July so he ordered 5 nights but the boys to remain within Ireland!!!! He wants to take the boys over before (in his words) his nan kicks it or goes senile. I don't want it on my conscience as she's never met DS2 but it was more important that his other kid go than his nan seeing the boys so I know, yet again, his priority lies with his 1st child. He can take the kids away from Halloween then next year he gets 7 nights in the summer.

That's a lot less than he'd demanded in court papers but it is pretty much all he wanted. It's sad really as most NRP (non resident parents) get 1 week Easter, 2 weeks summer, 1 week Halloween as well as normal overnight contact. Oh well, his loss as the boys will end up resenting him for choosing their half-sibling and not spending much time with them.
  • Feel jealous of you all drinking, I don't allow myself to drink. I have never drank in case I had to drive if my husband had a transplant call but a couple of years ago we hired a limo for my sisters birthday and they got me to try cheeky vimto, well 7 of them later and they've got photos of me kissing my next door neighbour, my husband was sitting one side and his wife the other but apparently I didn't give a damn. They all found it hilarious and still do but I was mortified

Ooh I forgot, I spoke to Amazon earlier and they told me they wouldn't refund it me but I argued what it says on their site, she said that only counts if it drops my £10 or more, so I argued that it doesn't state that, and I wanted to complain so she begrudgingly agreed to credit it back to me :D

Well done Beki for sticking to your guns! :j

    Evening everyone

Haven't been on here today again so I'm going to have to do some serious speed reading!:eek: Hope everyone is well :)

Feel free to go off and make yourselves a cup of tea, let the cat out, put the rubbish out etc..... in fact anything that will prevent me having to catch up on even more pages whilst I try to read the last 20 odd :rotfl::rotfl:

Lets hope he does take them on that flight before Halloween that way he's totally shot himself in the foot. Just make sure you pop by now and again during those 5 nights to make sure he's gone. ;)

ok completely unrelated post to anything we've been talking about but i'm gonna say it.

this video just brought a tear to my eye:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=roDXSHSEuoo&ob=av2e

i'd love to do something like doctors without borders and really help people out who are less fortunate than us. sometimes i think how lucky i am to have a family, friends, a roof over my head, clothes, warmth, food, clean water etc.

hopefully when i graduate, i'll be able to give something back to those who are less fortunate than me.

    :(

sorry just had to say it.
