no luck this morning- but hilarious time at the SS... started with milk- all is well, then moved on to a cleaning thing (clip strip) which came up as £5 ! ...I let out with I DON'T WANT THAT! ...and had to get assistance...

then the same with the nutcracker (scanned 75p instead of 1p) and the peanuts (should I have got pistachios??) scanning full price.... SS wondering what the heck I was on, when DD said Oh, mummy, I hoped that some of these things without prices would be less and I could put them in our home made crackers!

SS stayed asking 'were there any more?!?! things I didn't want...

and the Andrex scanned in at 25p, SS (man) looked confused and then shrugged. I said (not so believably) well that will fit in a cracker (!?!) :rotfl::rotfl:

When we finally went to pay the machine asked for a staff check on my signature! Think it was because we cancelled more than we bought! I was just glad I checked the cutlery, balloons, super glue (one failed, one trouted), and the baby food (sadly not working) at an empty till before braving the SS!

Good luck all, in the meantime, I think that's me done for the day!

    :)

I see fun was had last night :D

Don't suppose any of you know where I could get a heater resistor for my car?! Nah, didn't think so :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Bloody hard things to track down and I don't fancy getting it direct from the garage, too spendy! Extra jumpers it is then when we go in the car :rotfl::rotfl:
Try Autosave down in Harbour Road, might be worth a go.

  • Morning!! Just getting it in before we tick over to the afternoon!

Had to be up early for blood tests today but I came home and fell straight back to sleep and haven't long been awake. BLISS! It feels so nice to sleep properly again :D

Just waiting for my JTD to come back....hurry up T's!

Also someone was asking for a big bow for their daughter's doll's house. From the Matalan link on the grabbit board I just stumbled across this. I can't see any info about sizing though but 50p....bargain! :D

  • sorry all - didnt mean to get anyone worried - just not had chance to get online... missed you all though!!!

still no progress with Baby Bump though... she seems to be happy in there.... hope she doesnt come in the next 2 days though as MIL has 'borrowed' the car again......... (Grrrrrr is an understatement!!!) - so stuck inside with the Kids... too cold to go out walking anywhere..... wanted to take them to see Santa today too.... :(

Also - sorry to be cheeky - but does anyone have any good ideas of where i can get FIL a nice thick winter coat? - would prob have to be online seen as i cant get out... nothing too expensive.. with free delivery if poss.... lol.. sorry - i know, i dont ask for much do i!!... i have had a quick look on here, but TBH, i only ever come to this thread, so anything further and beyond is a little daunting on this website. xx

Don't know if this is thick enough but I ordered some of the £1 scarves from these. Delivery and quality was excellent. hth. http://www.landsend.co.uk/pp/Canvas-Field-Jacket~593_59.html?bcc=y&CM_MERCH=IDX_00008&origin=index
