Bowk/boke/boak....a term I just used on FB to describe wha dd has been doing all evening and I got ridiculed....where are you from? I haven't heard it used locally so figured in was a colloquialism from back home....

SW Scotland meerkatsmimm.....Bowk/boak etc all used frequently as the term for retching! Don't worry about ridicule on FB (its a dirty word anyway!) lol

  • Hi all, was telling OH earlier about the this forum (I dont really post as I dont seem to find anything in my local) I was telling him about the strip club as I love the vegetable crisps but only found one pkt ages ago. My dd who is 6 was obviously listening because later on dd and I went to Mr T and lo and behold what had appeared... dd at the top of her voice in a very busy isle said 'mummy you can now join that strippers club' so many strange looks....(I am a mature mum and didn't look my best either) but hey, grabbed a strip - can I join the strippers club pls - dd wants to see my name on list lol!
    Thanks to all on here

'home' is 30 miles south of Belfast so sw Scotland would make sense :D currently reside in Lincolnshire and I've had to change my vocabulary :rotfl::rotfl:

BTW I've just gone on the grocery delivery page to have a laugh at how long I'd have to wait now for a delivery, well there's plenty of slots tomorrow and Monday!

That's not what I wanted to post about though, for those who like to get their shopping delivered and may want a post xmas re-stock, my local is offering delivery at only £2.50 on 27th, 28th or 29th. Could peeps check their locals delivery store if they're registered online? I think this is worth looking into....

Can't avoid it in my house unfortunately. Luckily we don't have to have Xfactor on as well otherwise I think I'd be spending even more time down the road at Mr T:rotfl:
