YOUR COMPLAINT RE: TESCO STORES LTD

We have now reviewed your complaint having liaised with the advertiser.

In their response, they stated that The Price News leaflet was correct. However, the promotion was cancelled by mistake on Tesco's IT systems. There was a 2 day period when the products were scanning at the tills at the higher price. However, customers were charged the lower price in store or offered double the difference if they were charged the higher price.

Therefore, as Tesco were charging the lower price or offering double the difference during the two days the promotion was not registered on their IT system, we believe that no further action needs to be taken.

We would like to thank you for contacting the ASA and hope you are satisfied with the outcome of your complaint.

Not a huge amount but enough to go into negatives! Its now taking off the cadbury 1, OEP 3 for 2 and a dinner kit 3 for 2! Depends what you buy and where though!

I bought a couple of boxes the other night and they did indeed go through at £1.01 each. Don't concentrate too much on the 2 for £6.
