I bought beer with mine, the screen says restricted items so takes over the whole screen. After they type their confirmation code in they tend to walk off.

I bought free booze with another one of my visits this morning and realised I might need to be crafty so scanned the booze first, then asked the SA to authorise, then carried on with my scanning of the OEP items. :)

Can anyone help re SS tills ?

I want to go back and try OEP glitch again today, we are having Tacos for dinner :D I wanted to get some alcohol so this will need to be authorised by a staff member, so will they see the discounts or not ?

I don't mind going back, saying I've forgotten the alcohol and paying twice.

Well mine did. The SA helped me twice regarding the alcohol. She was a little suspicious but then just walked off and didn't say anything. Then I finshed off and left. Trying not to wee my pants or burst out laughing before I got out of the store. I would say to get the alcohol separately personally. I only got the beer because I was -1.64 and I didn't have anything else to scan through and it was the only thing to hand without alerting them to both our stupidities. So I grabbed some near by beer that was near the SS area.

I hadn't actually accounted for the fact that all those items would have such a built up of the negative balance. Hope this helps. I also went to the farthest till away and made sure I was clear and organised about scanning things in an trying to shake so much! hehehe

I think the fact that I am american may have made thing a bit more awkward when she was talking to me. But maybe she just thought Americans like to eat big.

You smart little devil which I had thought of that:)
Saying that the beer was a last minute impulse buy as I was in the negative. husband had wanted me to pick some up. I didn't even look at the price it could have been £100 and I would have ended up buying it. Luckily I got 2 x 12packs for £8 because of the SA screw up.
