Today at the hospital, i think they were doing it by measuring her leg bone...through the ultrasound... said that it was sometimes inaccurate though as they usually measure the head, but couldnt as she was engaged. - they also said that she could be measuring small coz of her funny position too... kinda laying sideways, but with head down.... awkward lil Miss eh!!!
im not too worried now anyway - im sure if there was anything wrong, they would have picked up on it....
My other 2 boys were both born 7lb11oz - so she will just be smaller.... but a good weight.... guessing girls are generally smaller anyway? xx
whats ECVs?
My ultrasound measurements were just about spot on. They said DS2 would be a dinky baby and he was. It didn't last long though! Oh and an ECV is where they turn the baby while it's still inside you. I was told even if not successful you can give birth from any position but transverse. Guess which way DS2 was lying when I was first admitted :rotfl:
DS2 was in every, and I do mean every, possible position. I never felt him turn and at one stage he had turned in less than 24 hours. Towards the end they were getting concerned as he was still small, hadn't engaged and I was warned that if I went into labour at home, it wasn't a case of wait until contractions were so many minutes apart, it was a case of 999 and blue light it to the hospital.
When my contractions actually started in hospital I've never seen doctors move as quick! The chances were if my waters broke naturally DS2 could get tangled in the cord which he did in the latter stages of labour. It's freaky looking around and only seeing 3 people (2 midwives and the ex) then blinking and opening your eyes what seems to be a second later (probably a couple of minutes in my drug enduced haze) to find half a dozen extra people in the room. That scared the beejaysus outta me. They were ready to wheel me down to theatre - a threat I had with DS1 as well. I'm not designed to carry babies but according to the doc who caught DS1 I'm designed to bring them into this world no problem :rotfl:I'm a born administrator - I love lists and paperwork :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Ohhhhh pass me on the lists and I'll pop them into Excel, put in nice conditional formatting and upload it to Google DocsYes, I helped out on the DTD one back in the day.
Any tips on how to "liberate" a clip strip without being trouted?
As others have said, I lifted the clip strip & contents, dumped it in the trolley then scanned each item individually and left the 'rubbish' in the trolley under the bags.
Currently waiting for either the power to fail or the dormer window to get torn off. Never again would I live in a house with a dormer window. Far too noisy and scary when it's windy.0 -
     There's always one
I surprised myself with that onepeople on here say they suffer from brain fog - well thats me, but the fog just lifted briefly. God know what I could do if I was on top form all the time :rotfl::rotfl:
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.
