Nat West to santander faster payment

A frind sent me a payment for £100 last night at 6pm( i was there when he did it) from his nat west account to my santander account on his online statement it says my account number and faster fp next to it nat west say that it went via faster payments and that santander have recived it. However santander say that they have not got it. Sntander say its nat wests fault and nat west say its upto santander Help what do i do

The onus would be on Natwest to trace the payment with them being the sending bank.

Has the payment been sent to correct bank account details? do santander accept faster payments?

yes the mandate is stored on his nat west on line banking many payments sent from it a test payment of £1 was sent this evening and i recived it within seconds but still no sighn of the £100

I think there may be an issue with Santander in accepting the payment and it may be going via the BACS cycle. I would allow a few days if its not been credited to the account then ask your friend to request a BACS trace on the payment.

my friend went into branch who said it had deffinatly been sent to correct sort code and account number santander have said they have not recived it my friends bank said its just somthing happens that and to just put it down to one of those things

It probably just is one of those things that happens when one of the parties banks with santander.

My dad transferred money from santander to natwest before using the faster payment and it took about 3 days to process through.
