if you have a good photoshop on your computer - I bet you can produce passport sized photos! that meet the criteria.
ten years ago I accepted home photos - because they met the criteria!

On a similar subject, why is it that when you send photos which exactly match the driving licence measurement requirement, when they put your photo on the licence, they slice off the top of your head?

    Update:

I really wasn't sure so got her photo taken again at a camera shop. As meritaten says, they've taken a much closer shot than the photo booth did. Her hair is tucked behind her ears on that one but she still has her head very slightly tilted.

In the end, to play it safe, I took the application to a passport office for the express week service and it was accepted by the lady at the counter, so I'm not expecting anything to go wrong now!

Famous last words no doubt - I really should shut my mouth until I have the passport in my hand!

    fingers crossed for you bestpud.

It may be right that the Passport Office only accept professional or photo booth photos - though how they can ascertain that is ?????????
It could be because the pics are then the exact right size for thier cropping process. I never minded doing a bit of pre cropping - but perhaps they have banned that!
It IS some time since I worked there!
