Holiday insurance - Extra Cover

Hi,

I'm looking to get some extra insurance for when i go on holiday over Christmas.

I have a Natwest Advantage Gold account so have basic medical and journey insurance, but the cover for stolen / damaged / lost goods is very basic. The maximum cover for single items is £300 so doesn't cover a lot.

The main thing I'm concerned about is my £800 laptop, but I guess my phone and camera are also worth over £300. Do people have any recommendations fro insurers that fit my needs.

I rent in a shared house so don't have any house / contents insurance.

Have to say I dont know any travel that will give that sort of cover for a single item.

What insurance do you have on it whilst in the UK? If you dont have any here then why do you think it is more at risk abroad than here?

You can still hold contents insurance in a shared property, you just wouldnt be covered for theft from the home unless there was evidence of violent or forced entry.

Because I live in a very low crime area. I'm pretty sure the chances of theft / loss / damage increase when you go on holiday.

Any recommendations on contents insurance that has good outside the home / outside of the UK cover, even if its at the expense of in the home cover.
