I tried to open an e-savings account with NatWest three weeks or so ago; got an email saying they would be in touch in writing within 3 working days; 8 working days went by with no contact; rang NatWest and was put through to "complaints department"; chappie said he'd investigate and be in touch within 5 working days; he was complete with an apology and £75 for the failure on their part.
OK, I still didnt have the account and their system(s) had clearly failed but the response to my complaint is worthy of publishing on this forum given the level of criticisms banks in general and, often, NatWest in particular get on other forums.

Aye thats good to hear. Things can fall down in life but its good to see that Natwest have acknowledged this and given you a little something too."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0
