4 Month Baby sleeping pattern suddenly changed?

Hi our 3 month 3 week old little girl has suddenly changed her sleeping routine for the worse. She has gone from sleeping at 7pm after last formula bottle, through till say 1 or 2am then get up for a breast feed then sleeping until 5 then another breast feed and getting up at 7:30-8am.
However now we feed her a formula bottle at 6:30 pm she sleeps from about 7pm till say 10:30 pm then is awake every 2 hours through out the night for a breast feed session.
We are struggling to work out what has changed as we have stuck to the nighttime routine since week 8?
Anyone else went through this before or have any recommendations on what we can do?

I think they do go through a period of sleep regression at about 4-5 months. I know my daughter did.

You'll find that their sleep patterns naturally tend to change as they get older too, no matter what you do or don't do.0 -
Its colder on a night too, it could be that, is she anywhere near a window, they arent particularly drauhty but there is always an area of cold air around them.
Fickle things are babies eh?make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
She could be having a growth spurt too which makes them hungrier, but also as it's getting colder l would echo what McKneff said.
Just when you've sorted this she'll be worrying you about something else...

Is she chilly?
Could she be hungry?
Are her teeth beginning to bother her? My son started with his teeth at 3months.Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0 -
Hi she is on the other side ofthe window, room temp is always between 18-22 deg c?
She sleeps in a baby sleepsuit and then a baby sleeping bag with a cover over her up to her chest.0 -
This is classic time for a growth spurt, making them more hungry, which is why the weaning guidelines used to be to start them on solids at 4 months, It has now changed to 6 months though. They instinctively feed more at night than during the day, because this stimulates the mother's milk supply better.0

Hi
Is she still taking the same amount of milk at each feed ?
My son was bottle fed and he was a nibbler so if I let him he'd have some milk fall asleep then wake up a couple of hours later for a little bit more so lots of little feeds.
I found if I persuaded him to take a little at the last evening feed he'd go alot longer. So I'd feed him until he fell asleep then change his nappy which would wake him up abit and then give him some more milk.

Babies sleeping patterns are very fickle. Growth spurts, teething, colds can all upset their routines. It's best not to expect them to stay in one pattern for any length of time.We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0

Half six bed time seems incredibly early. All three of mine had a similar pattern to the one you describe except they had their last feed at 10:30pm. I went to bed at the same time as the baby so that I could make the most of the large block of sleep. They then woke at 4am and two hourly after that. None of mine ever slept for 12 hours. I am not a morning person, so having a baby, child, or toddler wanting to start their day at 5am would not suit me, so this was another reason for them to go down later.
As they got older we gradually moved their bedtimes back. From starting school they went to bed around 8pm, getting up at 7am.
Also, some babies start getting their teeth from 20 weeks or so, so your little one could be starting with this.0
