Received my dispatch email this morning for one of the plants, and the hyacinth to follow soon. :)

    Getting quite excited now :D
  • I received my Hibiscus this afternoon and it is lovely. I also received my free princettia. They are pretty but not so well presented as the Hibiscus. The gold bar is just a plastic tray. It is fine as a freebie but not so good as some of the other plants if anyone is planning to buy it for a gift.

I got no dispatch e-mail ( yet? ) ... Looks like mine are going to die on my doorstep over Christmas! :(:(

received the free gift today bit disappointed the tray is just plastic to hold them but for free can't be to bothered. I'm sure after a good water and some love they will perk up a bit plenty of buds on them and not just twigs :-)

Hoping the princettas in pots i have sent to 4 peeps are nicer!
  • Having finished my Christmas shopping I am now doing my children's. My boys have just bought me a basket of daffodills and my daughter has bought me a Christmas cactus. I don't know what my husband will say about all these plants but then I didn't buy them did? :rotfl:My three offspring are also quite happy that they haven't got to go shopping for Christmas presents!

I am very tempted with the hyacinths but I think that is pushing my luck a bit.

My wife has just had a phone call from her mum,and my Aunt has also just phoned, they both received the Princettias today that we ordered and they say they are lovely plants and in very good condition so we are pleased with that!
We received the dispatched emails yesterday saying it could be up to 5 days but they were both delivered today.
Once again, many thanks OP for pointing out the great offer in the first place.:)

My sister received hers today, she said it was lovely, i was worried as shes going away for christmas on tuesday and thought it might be left on the doorstep for the week! These are quiet fussy plants they need to be kept warm, out of direct sunlight,Not by central heating or drafts, little cooler at night and just damp soil. Any drop in temperture and the leaves and bracts will drop.they are mexican plants, so think mexican desert!

When did you order and receive the dispatch email?

I don't wanna cancel them as am looking forward to receiving them TOO much! lol :D:D

I THINK the problem might be solved - I missed 2 parcels today so am hoping it was my 2 plants? Fingers crossed anyway and having them redelivered on Monday for before I go away and might take them with me for Christmas and bring them home with me afterwards ( like 2 new babies! ;) ) lol
  • Hmmmm just checked and got 1 dispatch email for my Princettia but not one for my Hyacynth yet..

So hoping at least one of the missed parcels was the P and that the H will arrive by Monday latest!! :D

There is always a last minute delivery worry every year - Last year it was with BHS and it never arrived till AFTER Christmas!:eek:

Mind you I always do seem to cut it a bit fine ;)

( Christmas suddenly DOES creep up on you though , doesn't it , it descends too quick from nowhere! lol ) x
