  • Mmmm, ours has a little sliding door to access the controls, some have a hinged panel, others a pull off panel, on some everything is in full view, but there will be a thermostat somewhere on the boiler.
  • Sorry if this sounds really stupid but if I have my TRV on no.5 as opposed to say no. 2 or 3 will this cost more in heating bills?

    Yes. More heat will cost more money. The halfway setting on mine, 3, is 70 degrees. If I make small adjustments to this I can tell the difference. If you are cold at 3 try 3 1/4 then 3 1/2.
