any chance people could add links to these one day only threads to the daily thread please? for those of us who dont comp by newly posted and therefore miss out on many of these as a result? wont help everyone who doesnt comp by newly posted, only those who keep up to date with new posts on the daily thread, but will mean that those who use the daily thread every morning would see the one day only hourly ones in the morning they start rather than with only a few hours to go

On a previous one day only comp i wrote this:

To the powers that be on here i would like to please ask is there anyway we could have a seperate thread in `Competitions Time` just for one day only comps like this i hate to think of how many compers miss out on these unless you are up to date and viewing as and when a new comp is posted.

People who bump for the next hour entry make the situation even worse for people who have not even seen the comp as they bump it even further forward i know not on purpose but that is the outcome.

It would heve been visible if advents were not bumped on the main board daily, ridiculously hard to see normal comps now amid all the fast moving twitter and FB stuff...maybe in a decade or so common sense will prevail, there's none here now for sure sticking with outdated formats. Forums have the abilty to be sectioned for a reason...

We have a thanks button and enter button on here, the reason for the thanks button is so that some people search for things by date and if we actually say thanks being polite as you did that bumps the threads and makes them difficult to keep track of and easy to miss.

No-one expects a thank you apart from the button, so don't feel impolite ...and the day that you win something (which you will if you keep at it)..there's a section up top of the main board "Iwon" where you can go to town all you like thanking whoever posted what you won, which we all like especially the poster of the comp

Don't take this as negative, you weren't to know and were being polite...someone usually has to point it out and most of us have been told the same at some point lol

i dont check for new posts so bumping makes no difference whatsoever to me and wouldnt have seen this even if nothing was bumped ever once its posted on main. i only catch the odd post on my way to the bottom of the page to sort by thread title etc.

we could do with a thread for all the fb and twitter comp after x follower posts to be posted in rather than them all having new posts with guessed end dates, and yep another for the end in a few hours comps. then those of us who wanted to could subscribe and at least have a chance of entering them rather than finding them after they have ended:rotfl: admitedly a social network sub forum would be an excellent idea.......dont think we will see one anytime soon though.
