Hi
I had PPI with my previous mortgage, but changed my mortgage provider earlier this year and they didn't specify any requirement to continue with PPI. I have 3 different insurances: life insurance mortgage cover, employment cover and ill health (I think). My partner has the same, but he is now self employed, so the employment one is no longer relevant.
I want to cancel these as they are no longer required, but on my bank statement the payments are accredited to "source software" and two other cryptic names (I don't have a bank statement to hand). I have some paperwork regarding PPI from my first mortgage, but I'm having trouble tying up the payments to the correct provider.
Does anybody know of a website that ties the company names on bank statements to the actual insurance providers?

If they are "cryptic" names normally a simple google will throw up the answer as others will have asked similar questions on forums etc.
Source Software instantly throws up a system for IFAs & Brokers for selling ASU/ MPPI0 -
Source Software handle general insurance for IFAs and mortgage brokers. One of my preferred sourcing providers personally.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

All this praise is unnecessary use of an opportunity!
All the OP wants to know is how to contact them to cancel an unneeded policy!

Well, firstly, I'd be more inclined to ask why it is unneeded, not simply provide the details to the OP. They said the new mortgage provider stated it wasn't a requirement NOT that it wasn't needed. More than likely it's a case that the OP doesn't WANT it, not that they don't NEED it.
On that basis I'd prefer to not be the hangman who ties the noose for them and let them google the contact details themselves!0 -

Thanks peeps.
It's not needed on my OH's end, as there are life, sickness and loss of employment cover (one of more of these is through 3XD... not sure which ones at the moment), the latter two only pay out on the event that my OH is too ill to work, or loses his job. In either case, he's self employed and not a tradesman of sorts, so illness won't actually effect earnings at all.
And the mortgage payments are so small that we're paying in a year, combined, a couple of months worth of mortgage payments, so it seems a waste of money really.
I'll give them an email to see how to go about finding out what we're paying them for and how to cancel.0 -
Just out of interest, why won't illness affected your other halfs income? I'm self employed and whilst some of my income would continue if I was ill there still be a fair old drop.
I might be tempted to change occupation if I can earn the same money even when unable to work:D0 -

He runs a website which, through ad revenue alone makes a tidy sum. it needs such little maintenance that out of sheer boredom he's going to college and working on a farm.0 -
