Renting After An IVA
Comments

Hi Timberflake. I have been assured by IVA specialists that it should not be visable on credit file after 6 years. I will be checking mine in February to make sure but I have no idea what I will do if it's still on there. Possibly contact the 3 credit reference agencies?0

Mine only shows as a notice of correction, not sure if this is something companies can see when checking my profile?0

Oh I don't know to be honest. I'm suffering more since I was discharged then when I had the damn thing lol. Good luck I hope you get it sorted.0

Hi
There is a thread on here somewhere about post-IVA credit file clean-up.
You need to get all 3 reports (Experian, Equifax, Callcredit) and check that the information is correct.
Creditors have a nasty habit of submitting information with the wrong dates against it so unless you challenge it your credit file could be tarnished for longer than it should be.
No default dates for accounts included in your IVA can be later than the start date of your IVA. If any of them are, raise a dispute with both the Credit Reference Agency and the lender.
Hope that helps

If there is a notice of correction, can you not just ask for it to be removed?
A notice of correction means that every credit application that you make needs to be manually processed.0
