The bendy bus makes its last journey in London today. The things were a disaster. Very dangerous to cyclists, uncomfortable, and a Mecca for fare dodgers.
Glad to see the back of the,

I so agree. Horrible buses. So much money must have been lost on fares. Wonder why they were ever used in the first place.0

We have them here, they're great when they're placed on the right sort of route (which they weren't by reports I've heard).0

Dont forget they used to set themselves on fire too!!
Im glad to see the back of them - they were never suited for londons roads at all."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -

And if you're truly honest with yourself you know that he really isnt involved with the Olympics planning and operational duties at all bar being the mayor and gladhanding people."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -
I don't understand why the bendy buses were unpopular. Pretty much every city in Europe has them, with medaevil streets and cyclists and everything else London claims to have. However I have never been on as badly driven buses as in London so maybe that contributed to their demise.0

For some reason Europeans from Bus drivers to cyclists appear to be able to share the same bit of road together in what appears harmony. It doesnt seem to work the same in London.
I got shouted at by a cyclist this morning for not looking both ways when crossing the road and he nearly hit me. He got even angrier when I politely pointed out to himi that he was in fact travelling the wrong way up a one way street and he was at fault. Something about saving time he muttered through a nice set of expletives before off he went.
Similarly me missus was shopping yesterday and she said the driver had started off with out her even past tapping in her oyster and at such a speed that she stumbled and dropped her bags so bad driving again.
It happens all the time and its not something that is going to be got rid of anytmie soon."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -
Don't you just love cycle rage. Put it big stick in the spokes of their front wheel, that's what I say!0
