temperature gauge went straight in the red this morning and the car started making a sort of loud clicking noise after i had been driving for 10 minutes any idea what could be wrong. sorry if i have posted in the wrong area thanks andy

    at a rough guess - blown head gasket, engine has over heated and the clicking noise is it self destructing. Check your oil and water.

  • I'd hazard a guess at a leaky radiator. But saying that, most cars cut out if they overheat.
