Hello, I am hoping someone can help me.
Today I needed a new dead lock and was on www.era-security.com for advise. I read everything they had listed and tonight went to the B&Q WAREHOUSE and bought the ERA lock I wanted.
It was either ERA or YALE and I thought the ERA one was best.
But now when I go to their website, it is coming up with a sign saying it has been hi-jacked.
I am worried that my computer connection can be accessed by the hi-jacker now.
On the back of the lock, there is a helpline number 01922 490050 and I haver left a message that their website is not quite right.
Can anyone advise me?
Thanks very much.

Unlikely but if you are concerned download malwarebytes , up date it and run a scan. It looks like a t*sser has just got hold of their home page , you presumably not entered any info on there before it happened have you? http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free for malwarebytes, download the free one and post the results of the scan hereHello, I am hoping someone can help me.

If you want to view the info that wa on the website previously have a look here: http://web.archive.org/web/20101108091445/http://www.era-security.com/our-products.html (that snapshot is from July 20, 2011 but the info might still be relevant)
As for the website being defaced, it's a simple home page replacement with links to the images and the sound file, don't think it's anything to worry about.0 -

Yeah malware is clean , it is a useful tool to keep on your pc , just remember to use the update tab before you run it, and it is worth running once a month (assuming you have a reasonably good antivrus system). You can also run it an adhoc basis if needs be and it should have put an option on your windows explorer so that you can right click on a file and select "scan with malwarebytes". It is one of the best free scanner's there is.4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Consider running the browser inside a sandbox. This isolates the browser from the rest of the system, so taking the worry out of situations like this. If anything nasty had got onto the computer, it wouldn't have been able to get out of the sandbox to infect it. Just empty the sandbox for any malware to be completely gone.
Sandboxie is a highly regarded program that performs this function (amongst other things). It can be used freely but has an occasional nag screen after 30 days. Read how the protection works here:

Consider running the browser inside a sandbox.
I'd add that running it inside a Virtual Box, with a snapshot of a fresh install of some Linux or the other that can be reverted to in a moment, is also worth considering.
Virtualbox is free (as in 'beer')
